Cooking Methods for Best Health Benefits
*Thaw overnight in fridge before cooking.
Boiling: Bring pot of water to boil, add shrimp, reduce boil to simmer, and cook 2-3 minutes - until they start to turn pink. Transfer shrimp to colander to drain and run under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Steaming: Bring medium saucepan of water to boil on medium heat, add shrimp and cover. Steam 2-3 minutes - until shrimp start to turn pink. Transfer shrimp to colander to drain and run under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Grilling: Preheat grill to medium heat. Toss shrimp with garlic, salt, and pepper, then cook for 2-3 minutes per side - until they turn opaque.
Broiling: Preheat oven broiler. Arrange shrimp in an even layer on baking sheet, season with oil, salt, and pepper, and broil for 2 minutes - until bright reddish-pink and opaque.
Sautéeing: Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Sauté shrimp 1-2 minutes per side.
